Middleton Congregational Church is located at 66 Maple Street in Middleton, Massachusetts on the corner where Maple Street (Route 62) and Webb Street meet.
Our Sunday services begin at 10:00 am and generally run for about an hour and 15 minutes. Attendees are welcome to come early to hear some of the worship music being rehearsed, fellowship with others, or just sit quietly to prepare your heart for worship. On occasion the service runs a bit longer when there are special celebrations in the church, such as Homecoming Sunday (September), First Communion (March/April), Music Ministry Sunday or Children’s & Youth Sunday (June), and so on. We empathize with the desire for a fixed schedule, while at the same time looking to the Holy Spirit to guide our worship. So our services are planned yet flexible.
CHILDREN & YOUTH PROGRAMS
For young children up to age four, Nursery Care is provided beginning at 9:45am. The Nursery room is located in the upper Sunday School wing behind the altar/stage area. An usher or deacon will be happy to give you directions to the Nursery room. The Nursery is run by two adult volunteers each Sunday and is easily accessible at any time. Parents are expected to pick up their child at the end of the service before going to Coffee Hour.
Sunday School is offered during the Worship Service for children in Grades Pre-K-6. For students in Grades 7-12 Sunday School is on the second and fourth Sundays. A Sermon Time Craft is available on the first Sunday of each month for Children in Grades Pre-K-2.
After almost every service we hold Coffee Hour in our Fellowship Hall (downstairs from our sanctuary). This is a wonderful time to meet the church staff and members of MCC. We love to get together, so there are many other opportunities for fellowship throughout the week. Check out our Small Groups page and EVENTS menu above for more details.
Parking is available in two lots, our upper parking lot adjacent to the church and our lower parking lot accessible by a gravel driveway just behind the church building on Webb Street. We encourage members and regular attendees to use the lower lot to allow parking for elderly and visitors in the upper lot. There are also a few designated handicap parking spaces at the front and side of the building in the upper lot.
Our Rear Entrance (look for glass doors) is suited for those who have trouble using stairs. There is an elevator lift located at this entrance to bring you up to our sanctuary or down to Fellowship Hall. Operating instructions are posted at the elevator door and inside the elevator.
On most Sundays our Deaf Ministry team leader, Mike Viggiano is available to provide interpretation for The Deaf community. We have a section of seating located at the front right of the sanctuary reserved for this. Visit out Deaf Ministry & Hearing Assistance page for more info.
If you are visiting and in need of a Bible, we would be happy to provide you with one. Copies of the New Testament are available in regular and large print at our main entryway. You will also find other church publications here, including a Welcome Packet that includes a music CD produced by our music ministry, copies of our monthly Good News newsletter, information on Giving, Missions, and more. Welcome Cards are located throughout the church and can be used to provide the church with your contact information and prayer requests. And weekly Bulletins given out at each service provide contact information for the church staff, lay leaders, a weekly schedule and information on upcoming events.
