Each Sunday our Congregation gathers for praise and worship as well as spiritual education. Our style of worship is what is considered “blended,” where we combine contemporary worship aspects with tradition. In all things we seek the Holy Spirit to guide us, with our primary aim to give God the glory first and foremost.
Our time of worship begins at 10:00 AM held in our newly renovated, handicapped-accessible sanctuary. Families are encouraged to worship together on the first Sunday of the month, with a Sermon Time Craft available for children in Pre-K through Grade 2. On the other Sundays of the month, children from Pre-K through Grade 6 attend the first 15 minutes of the service and then attend their Sunday School classes. Teens in Grades 7-12 attend Sunday School on the first and third Sundays of the month. Nursery care is available for children ages 4 and under. A common time of coffee hour fellowship is held right after the service each Sunday.
Sermons by Rev. Larry Schell, our Senior Pastor teach and inspire us, helping us to apply God’s Word and commandments to our daily lives. Additional staff members, elders, and guest preachers provide sermons on occasion, while once a month members of the church offer their own testimonies of what a difference their faith has made in their lives.
Music is always great in our church! Songs by the Worship Team (“Onward”) and MCC Choir help us to reflect on our faith and draw near to God in worship. From time to time, we enjoy special music by our vocal soloists, instrumentalists, Handbell Choir, Youth Praise Band, and guest musicians.
The Lord’s Supper is shared on the first Sunday of each month. A time of prayer and healing is held on the third Sunday of the month.
Blessings, Dedications and Believer’s Baptisms are offered during the other Sundays of the month as may be appropriate. Interested parties should speak with the Senior Pastor to schedule an appointment. A special Believer’s Baptism is held every year in June.
Variety enlivens our services as well as our fellowship. Small groups of adults meet throughout the week for Bible Study and support (please see Small Groups for more details.) For children there are special plays and activities throughout the year. For the youth there are active youth group gatherings with ROCK SOLID. A variety of social activities are sponsored by the many ministries of the church including celebrations, picnics, dinners, and newcomer receptions. You will find details on all of our groups under the CONNECT menu above.
